While most people would probably see this as a classic "You had only one job" fail, I see an expression of artistic freedom. Why follow the accepted norm when you can express yourself in so many different ways? Picasso managed to get the front AND the back of his nudes in one two-dimensional picture, and everybody calls it art. So how can we be so narrow minded as to simply dismiss this as a fail? Sure, motorists might get confused, a few accidents may happen but isn't this a price worth paying for artistic freedom?

by the time people use them, the marking would be worn out anyway. I use signs instead.

Maybe this is a car crossing for a pedestrian walkway.

Nor surprised. It's the ghetto. If someone complained, people would shrug their shoulders. The artist was able to express his freedom because DGAF. Nice Boris Johnson there. Is that him? Anyway, props to London for electing an insane person.

That's not London. It's Düsseldorf, Germany.

Got it. It was the 'zebra' thing that threw me off. Now if you'd called it a SchleissKrössenVlauckenspielen that was painted hilariously badly, I would've totally been on my game.
Know why I respect Germany? People keep it real. Berlin: poor-but-sexy. Props to Berlin for electing Klaus Wowereit—most western nations would call you insane for saying that.
In America he would have said "cheap AND sexy" and then there would have been controversy because that would've somehow offended gay people. And then the police would be called in and they would shoot someone. Europe doesn't have these problems.

Doing it this way makes more sense to me as my reaction is to think that the directions of the white lines show who has natural flowing right of way.

You are right! It's basically FOUR "stop here" lines! I never thought about that, but this is how all of them should look like.

I honestly never thought about it until I saw this pic though.
