Renault is mad at Red Bull. I'm mad at them both. Ricciardo joined RB when they were absolutely on top, and they've plainly sucked it up for both races this year. He's a talented enough driver that he needs a shot with a better team.
That said, Malaysia was incredible, a huge refreshment after the turd that was the Australian GP. I like where this season's going.

I need to see another race or two, but yes sunday was a massive improvement over the first race. We had the same number of cars finish yesterday that started in Australia. It will be interesting to see who uses their tokens and when. It looks like Ferrari and Mercedes used up most of theirs right away.

At least they're not McLaren.

He made the worst possible decision this year. He would have been much better off at Sauber or even Red Bull's JV team.

Agreed. It was a big risk joining up with an okay team and an engine manufacturer that hadn't yet recertified. It makes me sad because I didn't really even start watching F1 until last year. I know Fernando's an excellent driver. That much I can tell. But I haven't really gotten a chance to see him shine, because he's so limited in equipment.
