I always wanted a Yellow 850 T5 R because how can you not.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

But man this seems a bit of a CP to me, considering the mileage.

Especially considering what you could have for a lot less.

Ahh.. The T-Gul as we called it here :) Lovely car indeed. Awesome engine as well, 500hp easy with a few tweaks :)

to bad that you'd have to reign those 500 horses in with the front wheels.

Also I just found this

Holy crap.. YOU NEED TO BUY THAT NOW! If that's a proper 242 GT it's worth way more than $1400.

Volvo 850 in a Drag race.. 13.8 something, not that bad?

not bad at all. That 242 looks like more of a project than I have the money for at the moment, but I would consider that V70 T5 as a replacement for my Civic, but a manual trans swap would have to be in the works.

Ahh, well a project 242 = jalop points but a drivable T5 = more :)

Serious though, is it a proper 242 GT?

Even More serious, a T5 should be manual :)

Though he's since replaced it in february of last year with a Saab 9-3 Viggen Coupe.

If it's as mint as the seller says it is, I don't think it's too much of a CP, despite the miles. T-5Rs are rare, especially in yellow. If well looked-after, they can go a very long way without showing their age, too. Even my 850R, which seems to have lived a bit of a hard life, feels pretty fresh at 214k, although it's cosmetically nowhere near as good as that one.

The lack of interior shots is a bit worrying, though. The alcantara upholstery on the R and T-5R doesn't wear well at all, and unless it's been meticulously cleaned on a regular basis, will probably look pretty bad.
