Enjoying my first lazy night in a while by just relaxing with a beer, listening to some Katy Perry and Oppoing all night long. I've done a fair bit of traveling, have a hobby of sneaking into luxury hotels, study economics at a university with racist chanting frat bros, play six instruments, and may have ran from the police while wearing a skirt. Maybe twice. AMA.

That will be one of the first things I do when I get back to the US! Hopefully I'll have some good stuff to look at lined up for the week I get back (third week of May), but I'm not scheduled to take the cycle endorsement classes until the first weekend in June (earliest available!), so I'm fine with any time before then. You'll be one of the first to know ; )

She was a 1996 LX two door with the liftback in Dark Tourmaline Metallic. I loved that car, but sadly the lack of cruise control and barely functional AC meant it wouldn't go to Oklahoma with for school. Sadly, the next owner got in a mild fender bender, so the next time I saw her she had a nice big dent in the side : (

1) Fair amount of family vacations around the US, go to school 1,000 miles away from my hometown, and I've been roaming around Europe for the last seven months. Follow up questions welcome!
2) It started innocently enough—I just had to go to the bathroom. I walked into the first hotel I saw, which happened to be a $1000/night five star. In those situations, all you have to do is keep your cool and act like you're supposed to be there, which is what I did. My quest for a toilet ended up taking me to the hotel spa, so I made myself at home and enjoyed some mineral water, soft terrycloth robes, sauna, and steam room. They also had the nicest shower I've ever seen, so after that I was hooked. Every once in a while I get bored so I dress a little flashier than usual and walk into a fancy place to use their pool or whatever. A couple times I've gotten denied, but really the worst they do is kick you out. Other than that it's just hanging out pool side with your new best friends.
3) When I'm not studying in France, I'm a student at the University of Oklahoma, which unfortunately has garnered global media attention for some ridiculously backward student. I'm ashamed that that's what people associate with my school, but I'm very proud of the OU community's response. Wish I could've been on campus when it happened.
4) I played classical trombone for seven years. These skills bled over into trumpet, euphonium/baritone, and tuba. Since then I've also taught myself guitar and ukulele. I own a theremin too, but it would be a stretch to say I could play it.
5) See my upcoming response jvirgs…

Wonderful! I've had loads of visitors, and I really enjoy the french attitude toward fresh food and grocery shopping. Big city life isn't exactly for me, but it's been fun to try. My apartment is basically a large closet (89 sq. ft.), but I've gotten used to it. Enjoying the freedom to travel and see so many wonderful historic places, but to be perfectly honest I'm missing home by this point.
I'll definitely be making the most of my next two months here, but I'm eagerly awaiting my return to friends, family, work, and terrible greasy food.

Nice. I had a '93 LX Wagon in white with the navy interior. My first car when I got my license, sadly it was totaled when a woman in a minivan pulled out in front of me.

That's great. I studied abroad for four months in Prague - met a lot of great people, traveled to a lot of cool places (what up Romania!) had the traditional bacchanalian experience - but I really wished I had the full academic year to really get to know the culture. It was also the end of '09 when the exchange rate was almost $2 for 1 euro, so everything was crazy expensive for me.

I just went to Prague last week—loved it there! I definitely see where you're coming from. I may be ready to go home now, but at the end of my first semester I would have been pretty bummed if I had to leave. Fortunately the exchange rate is much better these days!
