Which I am super not happy about. Might mean that I have to find a replacement someday soon. So I'm backing everything up again and came across a sketch I don't even remember doing , back in 2012.
I still owe a bunch of y'all some sketches, and there are plenty— just need to secure everything on the tablet before things get catastrophic and I start crying.

A tablet without a SSD?

Oh yeah. Ancient, ancient. Been my workhorse for 7 1/2 years. Bought it at the end-of-the-run sale back in 2007. Wacom screen, still running XP SP2 and CS2. Still haven't come across something better enough to consider buying it.

How big is the screen on it?

Good sketches. Post more.

1024x768, 11.5"x9.5". It's not about the pixel density, it's about the size and feel.

Thanks, I post quite a few (see the SKETCH tag). More coming, based on Oppo requests (my favorites).

I understand.
Does the latest Surface Pro have Wacom support?

thinkpad X201?

Surface Pro is probably the best bet at this point— Wacom's tablets are INSANELY expensive and not worth it. If someone would make a 15" tablet, I'd be all over it. Guy can dream, I guess.

I think so. It's probably the likeliest. I just wish someone would make a real drawing tablet— Wacom's stuff is nice, but still small and insanely expensive.

I meant do you have a thinkpad X201 :P

Ah! No, it's a Motion LE 1600.

Upgrade the HDD to SSD?

More likely wait until it dies for real, have a good cry for the best computer I've ever owned, then look for a replacement.

Agreed. I don't understand why Wacom stuff is so pricey. I guess the name. A few years ago I picked up a cheap drawing tablet from Monoprice. For what little I've done with it, it has been pretty good. It's a shame they don't make a Cintiq imitation.

Motion really had it nailed a long time ago, which is why I stuck with it for so long. The screen real estate was right, the resolution was low (ain't care), and the feel was right.
No one's matched it yet, this many years later. That's what sucks.
