Will spot a 1 liter, 127hp engine and cost $20.000.

A US license plate on a small 1l midengined car? Blasphemy!

As long as it doesn't come with Honda's dimwitted infotainment system, I'd lust for one.

Americans buy 10,000 Smart ForTwos a year, I fail to see why Honda can't sell at least that many of these roadsters. It's a far more appealing car, and don't give me the sports car vs. regular car practicality argument, because that doesn't exist for the Smart.

Because Smart is made by Mercedes and people are snobs.

We've had our license plates on far worse 1liter.
Case in point: The Geo Metro

I'd probably just use a CBR1000RR engine. Good for 50-ish horsepower (and ALL the rev-iness) over the factory block, but it's still a 1.0L Honda I4.

tea. the BMW motor is 200 flat. still a I4 1l.

I don't understand why Honda wouldn't just have the Fireblade engine as an option from the factory. Seems like adapting that to fit this car would be relatively easy and quite a lot of fun.

Such a weenie little car, I'd try real hard to save up the extra 4k and get a Miata instead if I were in this market.
