I'm tired of incomplete wipes leaving a mess behind.

Give me your opinion on wiper blade strategy. Do you get cheap ones and replace them often, or spend the extra money and get the expensive ones? Any particular brands you favor?

I tried that, but it didn't work that well. Plus, I got pulled over for leaning out my window while driving.

Bosch Icons.

2nd place would be Trico Platinum.

Don't get the Trico's though. It's 100% worth the upgrade to Icons. Sometimes they are even the same price on sale.

Seriously, go buy some Icons.

As someone who has been called "anal" and "unreasonable" about windshield cleanliness, and who once bought a friend new wiper blades and installed them -at night, without her knowledge- so that he could ride in her car when she offered to drive places, without cringing and bitching the whole way about her terrible wipers, I feel qualified to speak to this ;)

I used to re-edge the blades but it's too much of a pain with the beam style ones to get them to lay even again so now I just buy replacements...usually before and after winter.

I took a shot on the Trico's because they were on sale for my Milan.

The next week I bought my wife Icon's.

I think that's a clear enough example of my opinion of the 2.
