Just looking for opinions and options. Yes, I know Oakheart is better, because spices. Yes, there are better rums. But I'm in college and money is a factor. At least I'm not buying Admiral Nelson.

I might just go with Oakheart. It's worth it. Now that it's spring, I'm just going to be making daiquiris like crazy. I know, not the most masculine drink. But, I have fake college money and I can buy smoothies at the campus store. Rum + flask + smoothie = public buzz and refreshment. Note: I'm not really an alcoholic. I prefer Oakheart because it actually has flavor. I stay away from shitty beer. Last purchase was Bulleit bourbon.

I guess that answers that. Well, it's mom's. I'll still probably get Bacardi. It was my first love. Quick story: I dated a crazy bitch in freshman year that didn't let me drink. cheated on me and made me a wreck. For some reason I was with her for 7 months. She dumped me, IDK why, seriously, so the first thing I did was buy a handle of gold Bacardi. It was my 'baby'. God, now I sound like an alcoholic. I'm not, by any stretch. I've probably had 4 drinks in the past month and a half.

bacardi 8 or don't bother (sorry just saw this post).

Best $20 or less bottle of booze I can recommend is Legacy Canadian Small Batch Whiskey. good stuff.
