I am taking amtrak from LA to San Diego today and then I'll be there for work for the week. While I'm there, I have a rental car so I'll definitely be testing what the top speed in reverse is for whatever car they give me (sixt, whatever is cheapest and not a smart car). Anyways, I will definitely be looking for some cool roads to go drive if anyone has suggestions. I will have Monday - Friday each day after like 1630 or so to explore the area. I've heard great things about the restaurants in the city and I'm staying in the gaslamp area so there should be plenty to do within walking distance of my hotel as well.

Not a road, but I recommend finding a supul kalbi place in Koreatown.

If you have never done kalbi, you really have to... Not sure if San Diego has the same TBH.

Korean bbq, definitely a solid choice. I've got a per diem rate for food so I'll be trying out all different places. I imagine seafood and Mexican are the prime cuisine in the city but some ktown grub sounds delicious to me too!

KTown is prime there too, largest Korean population outside of Korea! Actually, Koreatown in LA is big enough to be something like 40th largest city in America!

But solid food all around, so have fun out there driving and eating!
