Yes, it's salvage, but so cheap, so clean, such low miles.

You get the cheap fuel, so we get to rub the whole 25 year rule thing in your face. Because karma.

If it's a legit Motorex car, those are legal.

Motorex was an importation company in the 90's. They brought in a bunch of Skylines, some legally and some illegally. They got shut down, but the US Government issued a waiver to most Motorex Skyline owners saying that they were federally-legal because the misconduct was by the company, not the vehicle owner.

Agreed.

I'd buy it, keep it in Canadian storage for five years and then import it. NP.

I'm not in the US, so I can't exactly say if the cars are 100% legal or not. But I've known about Motorex for a few years though.

Motorex: awesome
Salvage title: not awesome
CP, I'll just wait for the '95 to be legal and I'd have my R33 GT-R with a clean title.

DeMuro wrote about them a while back. Basically it was a company that permitted to import R32's, but over time started bringing in R33's and R34's. After they got busted, the Feds realized that there were way too many Motorex-imported cars to find, impound and crush all of them, so they sent a letter to the owners of said illegal R33's and R34's and said "you got lucky, your cars, and your cars only, are legal here in the US.

Bond released.

Nope. They certified R33s, claimed R32s and R34s were significantly similar. And it had nothing to do with quantity, but that they were not properly converting all of them and claimed certain cars got stolen

Cheap, cheap... only 2 to 3 times more expensive than what it's really worth...
