We'll never know though since I don't see McLaren changing their policy of ring times are bullshit and therefore pointless.

Consider me skeptical. Seeing as the P1 was slower than the 918 in motortrend's tests I find that much of a gap hard to fathom.

Think 2003 Civic

Same number I've heard on oppo before, possibly from you, but yeah. Fast.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick reminder as we wait for a head-to-head test.

On large tracks like the ring the McLaren has a two massive advantages over the Porsche. Firstly over 150mph, the 918s front motors shut off meaning not only does it become RWD it loses around 200+ HP & Torque. Secondly the P1 has some insane high speed dynamics which allow it to corner at over 2Gs, corner permitting. So at a place like the ring with its long straights and high speed corners I wouldnt be surprised it is faster but I wonder about the tyres though because pretty much everyone says the standard tyres on the P1 are shit.

Again I could see it being faster, but not THAT much faster.

Based on this video I reckon on the long straight near the end the P1 could probably open up quite a large gap which could be the reason why the gap would be so large. Take launching of the line out of the question and the gap is probably wider.

Over 10 seconds though? that is MASSIVE.

That bike is fucking retarded. To think you can go THAT fast for $65K is ridiculous.
I knew bikes were crazy fast but this was not a Yamaha R1 VS a Hellcat fast. This was against a motherfucking Mclaren P1!!!
This is how much I'd be sweating riding that bike.
