T bird, at least it came with a V8

Tbird
I had an 88, which was fun till I wrecked it. Last FR car I had.

mmmmm Hellcat swapped Prowler!!
![]() 03/12/2015 at 12:19 |

That didn't take long. Was thinking the same.
![]() 03/12/2015 at 12:20 |

Lol the V6 barely fits as is. Good luck with a hellcat motor haha

Prowler. People would at least find you interesting on the surface. with the t-bird people would just wonder what radio contest you won.
![]() 03/12/2015 at 12:22 |

Prowler with a manual swap and a front bumper delete. That's all it needs.
![]() 03/12/2015 at 12:22 |

SBC then.
It might fit
but forget any other v8.
![]() 03/12/2015 at 12:25 |

dude you forgot Gm's retromobile,
![]() 03/12/2015 at 12:28 |

Might be a pain. You'd want to keep the original setup, probably (rear transaxle), but I don't think any Chrysler LH cars or similar ever offered a manual.

I always thought with that narrow front that a 4.0 I6 would be an awesome fit.
even better, stick a s/c on there :D

2JZ powered Prowler

T-bird because in the future

the ultimate sleeper... for car guys. It'd be an anomaly since it already looks fast to the untrained eye, your average person wouldn't be surprised that it is but people who know cars would be haha. I mentioned in a comment above that the jeep 4.0 i6 would be an awesome match for the car too. Like a v8 but not

If I ran into problems I'd just go full heretic and do an LS3 swap, should make things fit together a bit easier.

I always had a soft spot for the T

Both - with proper F/R layout.

Prowler, in purple, with matching trailer. GIVE IT TO ME!!!
![]() 03/12/2015 at 12:48 |

The trick being that since it has bellhousing space but no trans space up front, you might have to do a whole C5 Corvette system swap. Then the trick becomes cooling.

TBird at least came with a V8.

yesss!!!!

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO WRECK ALL MY IDEAS!
![]() 03/12/2015 at 13:20 |
|
me too. If I was in the market for an open-top cruiser, I'd look past all the merc sl's and whatnot and buy myself one of these (but probably not since I could get a classic tbird just as easily)

Hey, I wasn't aware "disguise fugly C5 Vette as Prowler, put radiators in rear fender lovehandles" was a wrecked idea. More like an awesomed idea.

The T-Bird is cool, but I see it as a larger, heavier, and slightly more luxurious SVT Cobra convertible...so why not buy a SVT instead?
The Prowler is awesome, it just needs the 392ci V8 swap from a SRT Challenger/Charger.
![]() 03/12/2015 at 13:59 |

That it the T birds biggest problem. Classic T birds are prettier and cost about the same.
![]() 03/12/2015 at 14:28 |
|
Haha I'm kidding, that is a fate any C5 would be grateful for.

Not sure how this is even a question. Prowler hands down. Looks awesome, great cruising car in the summer. Plus, a HEMI will fit......if you wanted.

E36 M3 drivetrain swap!
