Every now and then I look on Craigslist or ebay for either a Vanagon or Beetle. I camp and go on adventures a lot so a Vanagon would be an awesome fit for my lifestyle. I also live in close proximity to the coast; which would make a Beetle fun to tool around with and a solids transport for my surfboards.

Today I discovered why you do not feed a Beetle after midnight. (Yes, that sure was a play on to Gremlins.) Ladies and gentleman, cover your children's eyes and be prepared to view Satan's spawn:

But why? I think with some nice steelies, and a moar powah, this build could be cool.

To ma the wheels and, I'm assuming stock power train, are the only things that bring it down. Oh and the cheesy taillights.

It looks like someone took a circle, then quartered it... then added chrome then painted it to look like rusted wood and finally bagged it.
