I didn't mind it but my mother never missed an opportunity to diss it, compared to some of the "crayzee und vacky" colours that Benz splashed all over their otherwise staid, sensible cars in the '70s it was positively restrained.

Mercedes paint guys obviously had access to some strong drugs back then.

She said it looked like Mushy Peas which is a Northern English thing, (she wasn't from the North btw, and disdained it's "cuisine").

But, indeed, it wasn't easy being green.
