Sorry to be posting so much, but this is ridiculous. I'm being foiled by a piece of fucking plastic.
The part circled in red. I'm trying to remove the SATA cable from my old computer, but I can't seem to remove this part. I don't want to break out my Dremel to cut it off, and my scissors can't cut through it either. How do I remove it? There are two.

If it's a nylon latch, you should be able to shove a flathead screwdriver in where it hooks to itself and pry it open. Otherwise, just use wire cutters.

Use a small flathead in the upper corner nearest the mobo (at least in the pic) to unlock the clip. Just stick it between the tabs and twist.

Have you tried pushing the bar to the side? It looks like it might be a slide lock. So you twist the top bar and it turns off the locking slide... Maybe...

The left side should unlatch. Stick a flat head in it and work it till it unlatches.
