If you get a 911, it has to have the wide rear fenders.

It's the Accord 911 Duper Type-R STi Cummins Powerstroke.

Do people really pronounce it Porsh?

Well, yeah. Why wouldn't you?

Most normal people- I'd bet most Porsche owners as a matter of fact. We gearheads are an exception.
I still dunno how to say Vauxhall or Citroen, though. Porshuhh is easy compared to those.

If you've ever watched Top Gear you know how to pronounce Vauxhall :) (Vaux'all) I must admit Citroën is a bit harder though, but this video will help you :)
The worst of all though, americans saying Peugeot ;P (Edit: meant Norwegians.. not Americans.)

That said, I bet I cock up American names all the time though. Places like Sioux Falls and Laramie.. I have now idea how to pronounce that.

Filed away in the memory bank! I saw a 2-CV parked one time and I was raving about it to my buddies. I showed off and called it a deux chevaux but I had no idea how to pronounce Citroen...

Soo Falls
Laramee
...but if you asked someone from the area it might be slightly different.

You'll have a field day if you ever see a Peugeot 4cv then :)

You wouldn't because:
You might prefer RWD vs AWD
Garage is too narrow
Normal RWD already has pretty wide fenders
Takes up too much space on road
I agree they are damn sexy though.

Soo falls? Wow.. yeah, I cocked that one up, I thought it was Sui Falls. I had the Laramie right, but thought it might be Laramy. Thanks mate :)

To be honest I've heard Laramie both ways. I doubt if you'd embarass yourself saying it that way.

I'd probably embarrass my self in plenty of other ways way before that anyway :P The Norwegian in me would shine through pretty quick I guess :P

It's pronounced Porsh-uh. I had a friend who worked at Road Atlanta and had many opportunities to interact with the folks from Porsche. He recited to me a meeting with a young woman from Porsche in Germany. In speaking with her, he pronounced it Porsh. She quickly corrected him that it was Porsh-uh. He then replied, well, it is spelled such that it should be Porsch. To which she responded, "the man's name was [Porsh-uh]".
