Just got word from my mom that my great grandfather passed away. He more or less raised my mom and I have always looked up to him. Came from a working class family in Pittsburgh, was almost saintly in how good a guy he was. Lots of stories I could go into, I won't right now, though. Instead I'll keep it car related. He was always humble and down to earth, as reflected in his choice of cars. Chevy Fleetline, Ford Falcon, Plymouth Valiant, AMC Gremlin, Dodge Daytona, pretty much the entire Chrysler era Eagle lineup, Taurus, Intrepid, Cavalier, Malibu, and lastly a Hyundai Tuscon, he was never flashy, although my stepdad offered to gift him a Cadillac several times. Here's to you, Howard J. Shrum, godspeed wherever the universe takes you next.
In lieu of "my condolences" comments, post cars he woulda liked, cars I would like, or some unholy combo of the two. Seems more fitting for this place.

Someone at my school has that exact falcon only in baby blue.
Perhaps great grandad would've liked a Chevy II Nova?

I'm very sorry to hear that. He sounds like a great guy.
Would he have driven a modern Dart?

probably! Always base models. Always weird interiors. The cavalier had tweed. The Taurus had green velour-ish cloth. The Malibu was a Maxx. (I recommended that one to him, he claimed up until the last time I talked to him it was his favorite car he ever had)

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like a great guy. My folks had the mint green version of the Falcon you pictured. Is it a 1960 or 1961?

Sorry for your loss. Here's a non-flashy, dependable working class sedan.

You know, I know we don't see eye-to-eye, and you probably don't think well of me and I do get on your nerves quite often(probably hate my guts), but dammit, it's always a hard as hell time when you lose someone so close and dear to you. So please do accept this as my apology and condolences.
I'm not entirely sure which Falcon he'd prefer but I don't think anyone can hate a '70 1/2 right?
Have this one as well..

A slightly newer Falcon. Maybe a bit less understated, would he have liked such a contraption?
Keep the fond memories, he sounds like an extremely awesome man.

My dad had one in that baby blue, but the 2 door. Traded it in on a slant 6 Dodge Dart.
