Money is no object.
Any compact car from history
BMW 3 Series, 190E/C-class, Audi A4 all count for this (for simplicity's sake). As do sports compacts like the Integra and Celica
Mine would be the pictured Type R or E30 M3

E36 M3 or Cobalt SS/TC.

The new Type-R, most definitely.

Either the Kia pro cee'd GT:
Or the Alfa Giuletta:

Agreed on the KGC10 Skyline.

A second gen Nissan Cube. And a type R like the one you pictured for when I wanna go fast.

Aston Martin Cygnet.
Little.
British.
Different.

Mine would probably be exactly like this, no changes.

Clio V6, assuming I could get some nice tyres and do some suspension work to make it slightly less terrifying. Or an Ariel Atom, those are pretty compact.

I WANT KIA PRO CEE'D IN NORTH AMERICA.

If an A4 or a C-class count a compacts, this does too, right? Right? Right!!!!!

That Cavalier Z24 hatchback from earlier. My mother used to have one and said it was one of her favorites. I like the looks a lot.

I'll take it, better than a Honda hat ;)

not worth getting rolled in japan with a car all modded out, infact it would get some hybrid badges !

Cosworth Escort. Gotta love homologation
Maybe AE86 or Accord Type-R for the JDM crowd, yo.

Does the Skoda Rapid not come awesome like that?
![]() 03/09/2015 at 16:05 |

Okay compact. I'd have to go for a VW Scirocco R line in matte grey.

I know it wasn't anything more than a concept, but if money were no object, I'd pay Audi to hand build me one of these.

Always kind of wanted a Corvair. Preferably a second gen Monza coupe.

As much as I want to like the Giuletta, the styling doesn't really grow on me. Especially in person they just look a bit odd, more so if you compare them to the cars before them.

No RS version! The Rapid was introduced as some kind of bargain basement low shelf car, a performance version wouldn't fit in with that.

I can't make up my mind in between these two but it would be a honda for sure.
Honda Integra DC2 Type R
or a Honda Integra DC5 Type R
Also where you aware that there was a thing as a 4 door Honda Integra DB8 Type R?
I just learnt about this last week.

1964 Mercury Comet 404 wagon, in this exact color combination. With the 289 V8 & 4-speed on the floor. It was their compact car in '64, so it counts. :)

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
More realistically though, I'm more interested in features , not a specific car.
extremely high fuel efficiency (diesel? hybrid-diesel? 6-speed dual-clutch automatic?)
hatchback/shooting brake for cargo (no flipping sedans)
reasonable ground clearance (urban potholes - so no Golf GTIs or skinny rubber tires)
four wheels (because go away Elio)
The XL-1 is a concession on #2 and #3 because of the ridiculously excellent fuel economy.

190e 2.5-16 Evo2
A45 AMG
205 C63
Defender 90. It fits because it has a smaller wheelbase than a Mini Countryman.
Maybe an E30 M3, just for shits and giggles.
And an 80's-tastic Z26 Beretta RWD converted with an LS7 and T56 combo. And the world's quietest exhaust. For the lol's.
