Welcome to the opening round of the 2015 season of the ultimate F1 guessing game of the website known as Oppositelock. Time to gather your friends, grab your dog, a few beers, 'n' get ready to make this season the one that counts. Because !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is back, rugrat!

Last year, Mercedes F1 absolutely dominated wining all but three races, with Lewis Hamilton taking the overall win. Nico Rosberg came in second and Captain Crest came in third. His teammate was so embarrassed by this that he turned tail on Red Bull and went to the prancing horse. Ferrari, which had an absolutely abysmal year lost one of its drivers. That drivers name is Fernando Alonso, and he now drives for his former team, McLaren. Caterham and Marussia did their best impressions of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, but Manor F1 was able to rise from the smoldering corpse of Marussia and race this year with last year's car, much to the chagrin of Force India, who fought so hard against them rejoining and using last year's car. Force India, of course, will be using last year's car. Team Lettuce kept their drivers, for better !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but ditched their lousy Renault power units and will be suckling from them sweet, sweet Mercedes titties. MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm, MMMMMMMMM, are them some sweet titties. Speaking of nice tits, they also got a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Will.I.Am's Racing will continue to be cool as fuck with that Martini sponsorship. Red Bull will now be rocking the young Russian from their junior team to be along side Smiles McSmiley. Red Calf now has some driver from somewhere and a rugrat who was just plucked from the womb, prematurely according to many. That leaves Sauber, who lets face it, probably wont be doing much. But our overall winner was piratesecu, who won the Gilded Bernie and bragging rights for the winter. So, with the new rules and regulations, which one of you fuckers will win this year?

I'm not expecting McLaren to do well. Honda hasn't built an F1 engine in over a decade and it's completely different from what they used to build for McLaren. Also McLaren has been fairly shoddy as well.

McLaren is in the same situation as Lotus was at the start of last year. If they finish the race it will be nothing short of a miracle. As for Red Bull the Renault engine improvements pale in comparison to Ferrari and haven't touched Mercedes. I actually expect them to struggle to see the top 5.

I sincerely doubt Ricciardo will finish in the top 5. The Renault engine is even more of a dog this year than last year due to bigger gains by Ferrari and Mercedes. Red Bull is going to struggle this year I think.

If it pleases the court I'd like to make a petition for points.

I'd like to petition the court for 5 points. I have cursed Mr. Ericsson for this race prior to the beginning of on track activity. During the first session of on track activity Mr. Ericsson sat in his car. The whole time. He was not allowed bathroom breaks. He was only allowed to wait for the decisions of the court. He never moved for 90 minutes.

During the second on track session Mr. Ericsson went out on track but his car broke. He did not complete a lap.

Due to the ruling of the courts Mr. Ericsson potentially will not get back in the car this weekend. Despite his contract as a race driver for 2015 he may lose his seat to another driver with a contract for 2015 as the courts have ruled that their verdict is binding in all countries... in the world.

I argue that my curse has been successful and thus I should be awarded 5 points for this race and for any future race I nominate Mr. Ericsson to be cursed in which he does not compete.

Q: Rosberg - he is more hungry for wins than ever and i think he is really going to hang it all out there

1: Rosberg (Mind you I am no Merc fan and not really a fan of Rosberg's but i think he will take no prisoners this year)

2: Ricciardo - the drive with the most improved talent and likely the best attitude on the grid is going to be on another level this year with the Renault power bump and increased reliability. (So long as he doesn't have another off at T15)

3: Hamilton - Unfortunately, while immensely capable, I believe that Hammertime may struggle throughout the first couple of races with focus and tidyness on track. I do wish him the best, as he can definitely bring more new fans to the series.

Curse: if this is permitted, Sauber, if not then I suppose I shall have to curse Perez. I see the Force India's struggling all season potentially ending up lower than Sauber and one of the Manor's.

I may be able to wake up early to watch it with my new best friend. He's an Aussie Shepherd-Border Collie mix named Scout.

oh I wasn't doubting their capability, Lewis just rubs me the wrong way as a person. And that much winning by one party means something isn't right. Who knows how to fix that, but in the highest caliber of most sports, it's very difficult to have the streaks we've seen so many of recently in formula one. I mean are they really just going to let the same thing happen with Mercedes that red bull just ended? I don't want to see one person win for the next 4 years...
