Apparently the Citroen C6 has an active Aero. That's just makes the car even cooler!

Yes, it does, but only on the 'Exclusive' trim level, the normal trim level has a fixed wing.

Yeah but so did the turbo beetle

I think I had a 1970 Monaro with active aero, it was the coupe so had no window frames. The window runners were worn out, get to just over 100kmh and the windows would pop out at the top slightly, active.

Did you take this pic?

Crossfire has it beat by 1 year!
But I didn't know that the turbo beetle posted by Ubel beat the crossfire by 2 years. And then yea, the 3000GT.

Never knew! Now I'm going to be on the look out for beetles on the highway.

Make sure it's a Turbo, because the regulars didn't have them. Apparently the difference between "needs active aero" and "doesn't need active aero" is 35hp.

Clearly putting down that much more power was proving to be difficult before they added the wing.

Yeah, I think swapping the Golf body for a Beetle one reduces the horsepower the chassis can safely handle by about 85. Probably because it didn't have room for a 5th passenger to weigh it down at high speed.

That is cool.
Was it the current Beetle or the "New Beetle"?

Well, i'm not saying the C6 was the first car with Active Aero. But originally i think the rear of the C6 is just looked like any other saloon. I don't realize that hidden spoiler.

The "New Beetle"
