It's been pretty floaty feeling for the past week or so. Just parked next to a 100% factory fresh Rubicon and I'm only sitting about an inch and a half taller than it. I'm on 35's and 3.75" of lift...
Upgrade time? (Well first I've got to make the money, then upgrade time)

How old are your springs and what brand lift? Since a stock JK can't really fit 35's without a minimum of 2" lift (and that's tight), I can't imagine your springs have collapsed that much without it being immediately apparent.
Have a picture right after the lift and 35's compared to now?

Well I do believe the suspension would settle a bit, so I don't think that is far off.

Some will settle over an inch, but no that wouldn't cause floating. Have you hit a speed bump recently a little fast? That could blow a sway bar link, and that will make it floaty.
