My spark plugs will need to be changed soon, so I've been looking for some possible replacements. Does Champion make good plugs?

for the honda, id go with NGK. not that champion isnt a good brand you, but I find jap cars work best with jap plugs., germans/german, am/am.

I can't remember what I'm running - it might be these. So long as it makes a spark and that spark makes things go boom, I don't see any problem with them.

Does the motor call for copper cores? The thing is, very few motors actually benefit from having "upgraded" spark plugs. This is in part because the ignition system can't actually juice up some of these wild spark plugs.

At best, I would say Platinum plugs could give you not necessarily an immediately noticeable difference, but an overall cleaner burn and smoother idle.

That said, I'm not really picky or partial about brands...

^This. The only other thing I would add is to make sure that the replacement plug, regardless of brand, is the correct heat range.

Don't want to go melting pistons.

All I run in my own cars is NGK. Bosch is terrible, champion is fine, denso is pretty good. But far and away I've had the best experience with NGK. Smoothest running, longest lasting, fewest comebacks.

Iridium is almost always overkill. I would just go for platinum, and not any of the gimmicky +2 etc bullshit. The only thing the ones with more electrodes do is keep the air fuel mixture away from the spark.

What would you put in a British car?

Mostly agree, except that Bosch plugs are terrible and NGK's work great in everything.

Fact. But the engines look real pretty when cleaned up nice, and new spark plugs help with that clean look.

Stick with OEM if you are mostly stock. NGK if that's what was in there from the factory.

Be mindful of cyl #3, it has issues staying tight and will fuck up your head if you don't get it right.
