Okay, I'll say it: Having a car with selectable axle drive would be pretty sweet, if pointless.

They all go sideways when driven properly, there's no such thing as a boring car, only boring drivers.

Yep. Would be cool to play around with for the first few days, then you'd get bored and just leave it in one mode.

False, you do not have the saab and audi FWD layouts where the engine is a foot or two in front of the transaxle BUT it is centered.

I'm pretty sure there were some Group B cars that could pretty much be 100/0 to 0/100.

*Milky's previous post was indicative of 99% of FWD cars.

Looks like a Volvo Redblock.

Mid-engine, FWD? Rear-engine, FWD? Meth?

Has to be mid-engined, though.

In some fashion. I just idly looked into if the Ferrari FF would be possible to hack to do selectable axle drive, but it turns out it couldn't, not really. Not enough power handling, limited gearing, and the front wheels are set up as "helpers" that are always under slip. It'd be easier to take a Jensen FF and customize the transfer case.

There's also this, for those "high CG? ain't care" moments.

Damn right.
