Another two more Hyundai dealerships , another two more Gen Coupes advertised as a Track trim with Track price - but is actually a are Base trim.
Why do I care? Because I bought a 2011 Track to only find out it was a Grand Touring before picking up the keys. They took it back.
So I shot this Hyundai dealership advising them of their "mix-up". I'm curious if I'll get a response back or if they'll even update it.
Is this how Hyundai operates now? Are they clueless about their own cars or are they doing it knowingly.

They probably don't know or don't care, as long as they make the sale.

depending on how annoyed you are you could either contact auto trader regarding false advertisement or/and pat them here. I'm sure a few more calls about that and they might get annoyed enough to change it.

That's why you only buy the Ultimate version of the Gen Coupe. There's no way they can pass it off as something else with that spoiler.

Would NEVER trust any options, trim, etc. listed in an advertisement on the internet for a used car. Read your other article about this and am glad you caught that before driving the car off the lot. I'm actually surprised they didn't put up more of a fight when you called them out.

I think it's because they used the trim level for me to not go see the other car nor did I pick up the keys. I actually had them confirm the trim before I touched the keys.

That's what threw me off about the one I bought. Looking at the forums everyone talking about adding a Track/ultimate wing and HIDs to their cars. "Wait, mine doesn't have either of those" dealer "oh they're extra options than can be added. This person must not have gotten them"

Dealers are scum, I called about a Acura TSX Technology trim with a V6. They confirmed all the details and the VIN on Cars.com showed it was a grey V6. I drive 20 minutes to the dealer and they show me the car, it sure was a Tech package, but its was a 4 cylinder. I was PISSED, the sales guy had the balls to tell me it was the V6, I told him to explain were the second bank of exhaust headers was. "I am not a mechanic, but this is a V6." The VIN on the car they had was different than advertised, pointed that out and they said "oh its just a couple switched numbers, happens all the time."
Of course you can't report the listing to Cars.com because the dealers are their business but damn it always makes me second guess everything.

Wow you were missing a whole third of an engine, that's pretty bad.

It was the 80 horse power I was really pissed about.

that does make a big difference. My dealer said they'd take a couple hundred off the sale price and add a track spoiler... never mind the track suspensions, limited slip diff and HIDs... Oh and when I go to sell it I could sell it as a Track edition but rather what it really is.
