I really hate car wiring. And doors.

Why on earth do doors have to be an inpenatrable welded sandwich of steel? The wiring harness that some utter twatwaffle cut is stuck somewhere up in between two pieces of sheet steel that do not come apart, and I have no idea how I'm supposed to repair this crap. I unfortunately do not posses 7 inch fingers (if I did I wouldn't be single right now amirite), a prehensile soldering iron, and a stalk-eye. I can't solder that crap.

Though now that I think about it, since my car has no power options the only wires going to the door are for the speaker I am trying to repair, so I could probably just pull the entire harness out from the hinge and re-run the wires by going fishing through the hole.

I hate electrical work on anything newer than the mid-80s. Hate it.

At least you can see your wiring. Mine is all behind that metal bit back where the window goes for some reason.

I had the same problem on my parents Megane. I permanently clamped the window in place and threw away the regulator system. Wonder if the new owner every found out...

I drilled holes in the rails and bolted some blocks of rubber in place, did the job. The car was basically worthless, it rains constantly here and it had AC. Wasn't worth fixing.

The sheer number of mystery wires in my Z is the reason I never want to REPAIR wiring. After fixing the fuel pump wiring, I've pretty much made up my mind on re wiring the whole fucking car.

First: this is a true fact. Wiring is without a doubt the most terrible automotive thing, other than getting in a accident, period.

Second: twatwaffle is my new favorite word.

our safety regitions pretty kitsch require to the front windows to be operable

Even worse than wiring is wiring some other clueless thundercunt has taken his wire cutters and crimping tool to, then abandoned his dreams of electrical nirvana halfway through his half-assed disaster.

Also it's cold in my garage and I really don't want to deal with this.

Our MOTs are relatively strict, but they don't consider things like window operation. Don't understand why it'd be a safety issue.

If I had drone strike capability, I'd take out every hapless halitosis ridden cumdumpster that ever twist-and-taped anything important in a non-emergency situation.

I feel your pain, man.

Just pull the whole harness out through the grommet where it comes in.
