To be fair though, at first I didn't see it but then I could and it freaked me out. My digital color meter data show that at least in this photo though, there's definitely a substantial yellow component to the 'yellow' part of the image AND a substantial blue component to the 'blue' part of the image.

No I actually see white and gold when I see it. I scrolled down and up once and then it looked blue and brown but I tried it again and it's been white and gold since. I think it has something to do with different screens and the angle that you see the pic.
