Which at this moment is sidelined at my high school shop due to me pressure testing and finding a leaky radiator. Parts are on the way. On a positive note, here's the Valentine's day gift my girlfriend got me that I'm currently wearing. Too cool

True. Although while the W201 is out, I'm driving my dad's TT225, which you can feel and hear spool up but upon actually spooling literally hits a tangible wall. In this case, the spooling really is the only fun you get. :(

ooo good point, one rarely gets to make good use of turbo powa day to day, but to HEAR one whine into action can be joyful. Probably why so many of up enjoy a loud exhaust. you don't get to go fast often, but its nice to hear

You need to put one of the those on that w201.

It's been done, what with forged internals and solid lifters from tbe factory. I'd prefer not to find out what that does to reliability though, even if it would be awesome. I wish...

This, many times this.
I drive an old, quite beat 850 Turbo and let me tell ya, 90% of the time you're at half-throttle and sub-2000rpm and there's absolutely no performance at all. Then you get a straight stretch of road, drop it into 2nd gear, put your foot down, wait a couple of seconds as the stock boost gauge rises, hear the hissing of the turbo spooling, watch the revs climb past 2500-3000ish and BAM, you sink in the seat and off you go. It's not practical in any way, but has me grinning like a maniac every. single. time. Never gets old.

Would be the most fun 14-ish seconds of your life though, I'm sure!
