You are a spy.

Updated

Kinja'd!!!

You arrive in !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and are given an infinite budget to purchase transportation. The first job you will need to complete is losing your tail on the streets of Ulan-Ude.

Kinja'd!!!

After you have done that you need to take your same vehicle and drive to London. This includes driving through !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to make sure the people in pursuit of you in Russia don't follow you. Something to keep in mind is less than 10% of Mongolias roads are paved.

Kinja'd!!!

After you successfully make it to London you have to infiltrate a black tie affair and will need a vehicle that conveys the message that you belong there.

Kinja'd!!!

The catch is you can only have on car to perform all these functions. What do you choose?

UPDATE:

I figure it's time I add my choice.

Kinja'd!!!

I would pick a Singer 911. Since they're built to spec I'd just have them throw on a long travel suspension for the Mongolian back roads and a Martini livery paint job and call it a day.

Subaru Outback GT - Discreet, spacious, reliable (other than the head gasket), fast, and with ground clearance and 4wd! I win.

Bam. No problem. Aixam Mega Track. A 400hp V12 will make sure I lose anything following me around those Russian streets. The 8" of ground clearance and AWD will get me across Mongolia and any shitty walls I encounter, and the exotic nature of the Mega Track will guarantee the valet parks it on top of a row of Ferraris at that black tie event.

Too easy.

Need something that is fast on the street, goes well off road, while still being incredibly snobby. There is only one choice.

This is a tricky one indeed. I think I will go with the Mercedes E-Klasse. It shouldn't stand out too much in black, it has some speed to it, and is quite classy looking indeed.

Oooh you tricky bugger. After much consideration, I have picked...

A Mega Track.

In the city, in grey, it's surprisingly discreet.

Kinja'd!!!

Adjustable suspension means surprising ground clearance, good for all those bumpy roads.

Kinja'd!!!

And when cleaned and polished, it looks fairly alright outside a swanky location.

Kinja'd!!!

I briefly considered a Spyker D8, but that was a bit cumbersome...

Range Rover. Anonymous and quick enough to make a get away in the city. Capable enough off road (if you have the spares) to make it through Mongolia. Ubiquitous enough amongst the rich to blend in at any society function.

It's huge, powerful, expensive and capable. What fun is beating the bad guys and crashing a black tie affair if you can't do it with style. Sure, it might suck getting away from people in the city but you can just crush them with it instead of evading. A ride across Mongolia would be positively luxurious and with this you would have no problem getting into a black tie affair. As an added bonus the valet would surely park it front and center.

Surprised this wasn't posted yet:

Kinja'd!!!

It's fast enough, it would blend well enough in a military-heavy city, it can go pretty much anywhere, and if you roll up to a valet and it will stand out at a posh event since it's a freaking rambo lambo.

as long as fuel consumption isn't an issue, this is my choice.

Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG Coupe.

With it's 6.0L Turbocharged V12 that makes 604 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque will get you out of trouble when you need it. Evading in the city is fine as it isn't a particularly large car or all that rare. For crossing Mongolia, you have the torque to get out of tough spots, while still having a smooth and comfortable ride. It's a Mercedes so fitting in at a black tie event is easy. Probably 50% of all in attendance drive a Mercedes.

Good question. I would go with either a Rolls Royce Wraith or a Jaguar XJ220.

As we all know they are bother perfectly capable off-road.

They're both right at home at a black tie event.

And when its time to escape the baddies, they've both got "adequate" power.

In silver.

The road-going version of the EXR. Looks enough like a Land Rover that your average commuter and party goer will just glance at it and assume it's a Land Rover, just like the millions of other Land Rovers in Russian and Britain. Powerful, agile, and offroad-capable enough to lose your tail, regardless of the environment, terrain, or weather- Mongolia included.
