Unfortunately not. But it's the first one I can actually see myself in every day.

You've never seen the Cadillac CTS-V models before?

A lot of people "see themselves driving it everyday". :) Hope you enjoy your purchase!

I work for a Cadillac dealer, so I see them every day. This one is the first one I've seen that I would spend the full 70k for (if I had it haha). One day I'll have it ;)

Well its an American car so if going the used car route, so someone will auction one or something and it should be within reason for price.

I test drove one as an afterthought when I was car shopping in October alongside the usual suspects: 911, M5, M3, Cayman S, etc.

It flat blew me away. I loved the powertrain, interior and pretty much everything about it except the price.

I ultimately went with the Cayman S because I was wary of the cost of consumables given the # of track days and AutoX events I planned to do, but my love has never faded.

Probably pick it up for 35k in a couple years.

I would say that the consumables of a Cadillac would be cheaper than that of a Porsche. Or is that not necessarily true?

I thought the same but tires are a draw and because the Porsche is so much lighter the pads/rotors last considerably longer. A guy I shared a paddock bay with at Miami-Homestead Speedway raced a CTS-V wagon for 6 months before switching to a ZR-1 and said it wasn't as bad as many made it out to be, but that there was a definite difference.

Honestly pads aren't so cripplingly expensive to make or break the decision in hindsight.

I'm also doing way more AutoX events than I anticipated and the CTS-V wouldn't be as fun as the Cayman S there, but I think it would have been a blast at DE's.
