I didn't translate the ad. Seriously? Ugh. No wonder why it had such a nice price. *sigh*

Yes, that's what it says in Dutch. And the engine is supposed to have driven 'only' 80k kms. Having a blown head-gasket with these amount of kms proves one thing: it has led a hard life. Other issues:

Non-original paint (not 'exactly good anymore')

Non-original body-kit (which I hate)

Nasty dent in driver's door

I'd say: STAY CLEAR!

My first Porsche was a 928S. Awesome car, epic tourer. Very expensive to maintain and drive, once in a lifetime experience!

Cool! After my B5 S4 (with the twin turbos) — I'm not worried about maintenance costs. — that's the price of enjoyment.

Haha, that 2.7 V6? EPIC!

If you're not afraid that (manual) 928S is epic. I've driven an audi S2 Avant a lot (boosted up to about 400hp) and I guess that's somewhat more 'explosive' than a 928S. But after I got my hands on a 3.2 911 that 928 was history...

It's all about budget right now. I don't really need a 2nd car at this point. We have the 520d wagon and on days when my wife and I need to share she can drive me to work or I can come home at lunch and we swap who has the car. I don't have a garage and we're stuck with on-street parking. If I get a second car, I'll have to rent a garage and the nearest garages to rent are about a 1km walk. Good thing is that we're in a smallish town and the cost is €50/mo or so.

With the Belgian taxes the way they are, it's easier and far less expensive for me to go after something like an Alpine V6 GT or a Porsche 928 (25 years and older) versus an E46 M3. All of those cars can be purchased in the €9000-€12000 range for very nice examples, and less for things that need some wrenching. But by registering the classics as "oldtimers" it's a flat rate of €62/yr. To register the E46 M3 it would be €1000 or so for the initial registration (more or less depending upon year.) Then an additional €1000 in "ecotax." Then €1011/yr for plates.

The 2.7t was epic after I sorted out the diverter valves and boost leaks. There wasn't much turbo lag, and once they were spooled up the car seemed faster than the C5 Corvette I owned previously.

Well, Dutch taxes are not much better anyway. Our 'classics' used to be tax-free when aged over 25. Then they made it 30. Last year they increased it to 40. You don't have to pay the full rate though, I think I pay like 150 euro a year for the 28 year old 3.2.

That V6GT is appealing as well, but I would prefer the A310. These are getting pricier every year though... Won't 12k get you a decent one?

By the way, I was tipped by a friend about this one . Very low mileage and very original. Just over your 12k limit but NOTHING needs to be done, perfect example.
