Read more and pictures after the jump
Pictures of me (6'5") in small cars that I like or just wanted to get in. Unfortunately there were no Minis, what the heck? These were taken with an iPotato 6 by my best friend at the Dayton Auto Show/Dealerama. Only a few were taken because people kept getting in the way, here are the decent ones. Please excuse the dopey looks on my face, she liked taking my picture when I was talking or not paying attention. I also tried adjusting the seats to the most comfortable position for me, I have concluded that my torso is just very long/tall. Therefore I am far from comfortable in most small cars.
Porsche Macan Turbo (Edit: I'm blind and illiterate.)
VW Beetle, not completely uncomfortable but not great.
VW GTI. I was quite sad I didn't fit and was laughing at how crammed in I was. (edit: thought this was the Mazda 3 due to knowing both have recently been CoTY from Motortrend and both that I sat in were grey)
Honda Fit. I really like these little hatches, not a terrible squeeze in but not something I could live with everyday. Excuse the derp.
Not pictured, that I didn't fit in well: VW GTI, Scion tC, Ford Fusion, Ford Fiesta ST, Ford Focus (maybe ST), Ford Taurus, Honda Civic, a few others.
Not pictured, what I fit comfortably in: Chevy Colorado, Subaru Forester, Subaru WRX, Subaru Outback, Honda Accord, Honda Crosstour, you can guess the rest.
tl/dr: Big guy in small cars.

Why buy a Macan when you can get a Cayenne with Macan running boards?

you're not fooling anyone this says Macan Turbo not Cayenne

Aw fuck, I'm an idiot. Will edit, in my defense I looked at both.

Thanks for the catch, I'm blind and illiterate. I looked at both, thought I was in the Cayenne when the picture was taken. Didn't even check the running boards.

This is a Golf.

Is this? I thought this was the Mazda, I believe both had the little hanging award thing hanging. I can't remember award's name.

It has the thingy form Motor Trend car of the year, and the Golf won it. Also, the wipers look decidedly german.

Gotcha will change accordingly, I was guessing on the pictures because the picture taker never backed up enough to get easy for me to identify features. I'm very impressed by your wiper knowledge, I definitely could not do the same identifications(teach me your secrets).

Haha, I have a Golf so it was fairly easy. Also, German cars have these wipers that look meaty and cool

Those are neat wipers.
I was genuinely pretty saddened that I can't comfortably fit in a GTI. It was on my short list to replace my Stratus.

Really!? I thought it fit pretty tall europeans. That sucks, its a fantastic car.

My torso is very long I guess, and I'm a 6'5" American. I could get in and drive, but long term it wouldn't be comfortable for me. I was really hoping it would be something I could potentially own.

Yeah, try out the Passat, that is truly humongous.

I'm actually looking at a Pontiac G8, love them and I fit excellently.

honestly after not fitting in everything yesterday, I was down to a new Colorado (because GM family discount) or the G8. Both are solid vehicles, the Pontiac is much more my kind of vehicle.

What are the specs you'd like?

I generally prefer sedans/wagons/coupes over trucks and SUVs. As far as the G8, I'm looking to get the GT trim with the 6L V8/auto. If I come across a GXP with the 6.2L V8 in my preferred price range, I wont say no though. Preferably in the gorgeous blue they left the factory with, but I think they look good in all the colors.

If you find a GXP in budget, take it. And keep it. Then sell it for a crapton of money.

If I find a low mile, clean GXP under $23k I'm gonna drive it until it won't drive anymore. I absolutely love Pontiac, some of the best vehicles ever in my opinion. I grew up loving GM brands thanks to my grand father the GM autoworker.

So sad that Pontiac had to go, as well as Saturn. They were just entering their strides.

They really were, I honestly liked the cars that both had more than any other GMs. I have potential US vehicles all mapped out for how Pontiac could relaunch using current GM vehicles from around the world. Even keep the G# naming scheme, though I think reviving certain name plates would be way better (fuck yeah Trans Am).
