Oh God. I hate the 512M. My least favorite Ferrari.

Stock Ferrari 512M.

Blegh. Ferrari really forgot what it was doing with design in the later years of the Testarossa.

Is that a real color and not 'shopped? If so, wow, that's gotta be about the rarest one. Only 75 512Ms were imported in 1995. I've only ever seen one, a maroon/tan one at Road America back in the summer of 1999. A rare sight indeed.

Don't think it's that bad. . . But flip-ups lights are always best lights.

I like the looks of the 512TR better but I would take this car at the right price for the speed and for investment purposes.

Wow, that's a huge jump from when I last paid attention to their listings.
The same can be said for Countaches and Diablos. Just a year ago Countaches and most Diablos were in the low-mid $100k's; hell I remember seeing many early Diablos going for UNDER $100k. Even the Diablo 6.0 was around $160k-$170k in top shape.
I was browsing them both about a month ago and holy crap, the Diablos have shot up to high $100k's and more for an older and well-used model all the way up to $350k+ for a clean 6.0, and the Countach is going for anywhere from $250k to a freaking half-a-million! Seriously, I remember looking at 25th Anniversary Countaches with listings for only $100k-$120k in mint shape not that long ago; now the same cars are going for over quadruple those previous numbers. I don't know where this market value spike came from, but it blows my mind.
I mean, I'm happy the market sees those two amazing cars worth so much, but I'm truly curious as hell as to what exactly caused their values to literally skyrocket in such a short time.

omg tell my about it!
I should have got the Countach instead of my 997.2 C2 4 years ago!
The one thing this teaches us: always buy the rarest near classic Ferrari or Lambo you can afford before the prices shoot up!
Thinking about a Porsche or Jag or BMW? Just say no and go with an Italian Stalion.

I totally agree. The 308 has been holding steady around the $50k mark, give or take for a top example, for a while now, but the 328 has shot up and is now often listed with a nearly-6-figure asking price.
Despite their flaws, it's making me wonder just how much longer we'll be seeing all these $35k-$50k prices for a clean 348, and $50k-$80k for an F355 before they, too, see a spike in value.
Hell, five years from now we may be asking ourselves "Why the hell didn't I buy a Mondial 8 for $20k a few years ago when I had the chance?!"
Honestly though, being mechanically similar to the 308/328 and how "reliable" those cars are considered for a Ferrari, I really believe it's just a matter of time before the Mondial is seen in a more positive light and shoots up in value. The 348-engined Mondial t may even eventually climb as well, once the 348 starts ascending. From what I've seen though, its value is still at the top of the Mondial market, which is all so "within reach" for a Ferrari they're hard to ignore, but then again I've honestly always had a thing for the Mondial (well, the Cabriolet at least). I definitely wouldn't have any shame in having a 3.2 or t in the garage.

haha I actually think about buying the Mondial 3.2 all the time!
It's a cheaper and open top 328!!
I need to save some monies first. I have too many sports cars already and have a rule called SAVE ALL THE CARS (tm)

But since I can't have them all I won't sell any that I do have, ever

Everyone always regrets selling a sports car!

I don't even want to sell my E46 M3 even though everyone talks shit on it for having SMG!
It's still a sporty car with a high revving N/A motor!
