DB7 V12 exhaust videos are few, but it sounds very muffled and V6-like, even with aftermarket exhaust. (Consider its origins.) However, everyV12-powered Aston that followed it, starting with the 2001 Vanquish, sounds very rich and throaty. How did whatever slight improvements amplify and improve the sound as much as they did? Also, the One-77 is nowhere near muffled, but it too has more of a shriek than a growl.
Search on YouTube "Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Quicksilver Exhaust," compare it to a DB9, DBS, Vanquish, Virage, or Rapide and you'll see what I mean. Kudos to anyone who can find a DB7 with the throaty sound.

There might be a fuse you can pull.
