While sitting in traffic.
I see why no one buys them. They just look like a normal Kia. If I hadn't noticed the badges I wouldn't have known.

I think the idea is that they would be bought by someone who wants a nice car but doesn't care about "making a statement". Unfortunately for Kia, I think most of those people just buy used.

Maybe. I'm sure it's a nice car. I think Hyundai/Kia should have made a separate luxury brand like Lexus or Acura. They could have the Genesis coupe and sedan, Equus (is that how it's spelled?), and the K900 with a different name.
I would slot the K900 as the "entry" to compete along the lines of the ES, Genesis in the middle. And the other one on top.

Yeah it was definitely a risky move not setting up a separate brand. On the one hand they don't have to bear the actual financial risk of making the investments in the infrastructure, branding, advertisements, etc., but a much riskier business move as opposed to the model pioneered by the Japanese luxury brands.
