My vote goes to the BMW-Sauber F1.08. It just screams "technologically advanced".

Allard J2X-C would like a few words with you. It is clearly the best looking of its time (early 90s/group C) and one of the best of all time

Talbot Lago T150C SS.
Yes, this was a racecar.

I saw one of those on my trip to France last summer!

That certain version is the best looking of of all dear drop coupes. The rest of similar Talbot Lagos had a grill in front of the headlights and that one seems to only one with exposed headlights. That is a good pick.

I'm very partial to the brutal simplicity of the MP4/4.

Fuck, am I that guy now?
That's Mp4/5... you can tell by the airbox, which extends to the top of the roll hoop, as well as the much more aggressive exit ducting in the side pods. See here:
MP4/4 was even lower and leaner looking:
I can't decide which I like more. But between the two there's a definite contender for prettiest ever.

Oh man, you are totally that guy. It's the MP4/5 that I liked more because of that swooping airbox.

You've never seen my 4-5 paragraph FP posts correcting someone on car depreciation or engine efficiency, have you?
You're in good hands.

Good point, I keep forgetting Oppo is a magical oasis of constructive dialogue in the desert of endless uninformed digital food fights that is the internet.
Remember kids, never ever scroll down from a YouTube video. Not even once.

Impossible question. But I'll go with an obvious one, the glorious Stratos
and as for the street car, well, this vanity plate sums it up pretty well...

you're doing god's work trying to educate people on how engine efficiency works. just imagine how much better the world would be if everyone understood how energy works.

It bothers me how much basic chemistry/physics most people forget after high school.

You assume they took chemistry or physics in high school. Back when I was in high school, there were a bunch of options for science credit that would let you graduate without having to take chemistry or physics.
I was a band nerd in HS. I was also a science nerd. Last, I had what the band directors liked to call "an attitude problem". My senior year, the band had a particularly bad problem (from an extracurricular activity eligibility angle) with people doing poorly in chemistry, to the point that the directors were trawling the orchestra for chemistry tutors. Meanwhile, I was the only kid in band taking AP chemistry, and I was CRUSHING it, because I really liked the class and the teacher was fantastic. I was NEVER asked to tutor anyone, which was fine by me :)
There were a LOT of band kids that dropped chemistry and enrolled in something "easier" and now these people are all adults and a lot of them have have high school age kids now.

The Auto Union Streamliners are things of beauty. Saw one at Goodwood a few years ago. Stunning to look at. Hand made.
The engines were amazing as well.

Oh man, we share more in common than you think. They didn't have AP courses at my high school so I just took joint courses at the local community college, which counted for honors HS credit.
I really think the problem is that most of it is treated as just vocabulary and taught to the test, instead of like building tools to use later on in life. Worse yet, when it's taught that way, students lose interest because they can't see how it would ever apply to their daily lives.

Never mind the car, how about that autodrome. Cobblestone and ridiculously high camber. They don't make them like that anymore.
