I can't even tell if the universe is being serious anymore.
I found out this morning that a friend of my father in law (who owns the house my wife and I rent, and the other two houses on this parcel of land, along with a barn and two outbuildings) has a friend who went into the hospital. This friend owns a pontoon boat and for some reason he decided that the homestead was a good place to store it.
Strangely, the boat and truck towing it were not there at midnight last night when I took the dogs out. They arrived some time between then and 6:30 this morning when I took the dogs out again. They pulled in during the storm because the sleet didn't start to stick until late last night — about 10 or so, and there were tracks visible where they backed in. There is also sleet clearly visible on the boat and truck. Precipitation stopped this morning before dawn.
Both the boat and truck are visible from a main road, and I know — I know. My grill is outside in this. Bratwursts don't cook themselves, even during an ice storm.
Why the hell was this boat delivered under the cover of night during an ice storm? It's not like they're hidden from anyone. My father in law is a good ol' boy who knows everyone in town anyway. You can see the vehicles in question from the road.
I don't get it.

Yeah whats with the school bus? In SF, if you have one, its a hippie bus parked by Golden Gate Park.

You do what you can in the time available? The storm also could have held them up considerably, so they may not have planned to get in so late.
