Seeing all these photos of snow covered cars made me think of the time I had to excavate my Pulsar. This was five years ago this month, we had an unexpected two feet of snow in a single night. The forecasters had only called for 6-8 inches. I started by digging out my daily driver and then moved on to liberating my Pulsar.

Here it is:

You can actually see a little bit of it from the other side:

Kinja'd!!!

By the time I'd cleared out the area in front of it and along the passenger side I'd been shoveling snow for about five hours and just couldn't bring myself to do any more. I crawled in through the passenger side, fired her up, turned the wheels all the way to the right and pulled away from the snow.

Kinja'd!!!

Success!

You can see a bit of a car-shaped imprint where it was:

Kinja'd!!!

Here's what I woke up to that morning:

Kinja'd!!!

And a few shots around the neighborhood after the plows had come through:

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I don't even mind the occasional snowstorm. What I AM sick of, though, is the constant negative wind chills keeping me from walking my dogs, the steady grayness and not seeing the sun for days at a time, and the little piddling snow we get- it's like an inch every day. Pittsburgh winter just sucks.

I feel your pain. The cold is just annoying.

I know what you mean about the cold. I went to shovel my car and a spot the other night but after two minutes I couldn't feel my face so I jumped in the car and drive through the snowbanks. I could not take it.

The fact i did this with the FoST says how little i cared. Also, it's snowing right now...
