They are pretty awesome. Once you get by the lack of horsepower you are rewarded with probably the cheapest, most reliable mid engine car around.

There is also the MR2, yet that doesn't have the cool aircoole, flat 4 sound.

The 914/6 isn't necessary unless the car is an investment piece.

You can get the H4 and tune it.

So many options for tuning those old air cooled H4s. Everybody be making their old 914s, 356s and beetles fast as fuck

The old man is tuning his H4 in the 356 now. He got Weber carbs. Those little engines are pretty fast when you don't have to worry about smog regs.
