I always assumed it was for a cigar. I don't smoke in my car, nor do I smoke at all so I really have no idea.

Is there a special lighter for it? The hole is kinda small.

Nope, not the plug for a lighter then. No idea what it can be. Also not a smoker, and even if I was, no way I would ever smoke in my car.

It's a place to put your cigar when done with it because they are usually too long to fit in the little box. I smoke an occasional cigar. Only smoked driving once. I was going 75 mph on the freeway with the window open.
