My grandpa gave me permission to drive his Miata tomorrow! (It's the one that I might buy from him)
I'll get some pictures of it :)

What generation? I have yet to drive one. Definitely going to have to find one to take for a spin this summer.

First gen. 1994 in Mariner Blue with a 5 speed. It is a one owner car with almost 265k miles with the original non-rebuilt engine in it! Yet it still loves to be driven hard and put up wet... it's a good car ;)

Eh, more or less. I don't want to break it... the rocker panels are pretty much made of rust :( just like every NA miata... look it up :'( So many junked Miatas because of it...

Shit, well I can't find it now.
It was a sticker that says "No hairdressing equipment left in this vehicle overnight" and it was on a Miata.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:11 |
|
Damnit... you know what that is referring to right? No, not just the fact that it is a "hairdresser's car"...
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:12 |

Zzat was ze joke.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:13 |

It was also referring to the fact that most Miata's are left unlocked all the time... the owners would rather something like the radio be stolen than the top be slashed...
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:14 |
|
I've heard that it was extremely easy to break into the first gen Miata, so that probably also explains that even further.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:14 |

Yeah...
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:16 |

Good thing is that they probably aren't stolen as much as the Civic for instance. I'm guessing they're mainly just broken into for radios and other valuables that happen to be left around.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:20 |
|
...or the fact that the car thiefs can't drive stick :P
![]() 02/13/2015 at 22:21 |
|
Haha, most of the Civics that I've heard about getting stolen were manual, but also complete ricers. Soooooo nothing of value lost there.

Stock? Even if it is you will be amazed at how it handles if it has decent tires on it.

It is all stock, and yes I have driven it before. It is amazing just how capable these "hairdresser's cars" are!
