Canada must have some cheap labor rates.

I'm Canadian, and I approve this message.

It makes sense. Canada is the most American thing America has ever made.

The Canadian plants I've worked with are CAW (union) powered, and employees seem to be compensated fairly. Not sure how it compares to UAW rates, but the Big 3 has had plants up North since at least the 70s.

Hey america didn't make us, hell we even won a war against the Yanks (1812). Our worthless governments decided to copy them but that's a different story
but you can almost say we are communist usa...

I always thought one of the most unintentionally funny commercials ever made was the one where George Washington drives a Challenger into battle against the forces of the British crown.

Ya thats why the 351 Cleveland was made cause the Windsor Plant struck.
Also No offense but I hate Unions for what they did with my dad and my family back in the day.

Turn on your TV sometime. Where does the programming come from?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:08 |

With a German transmission! (In the AT models at least)

Not to mention the whole Imported from Detroit thing... Some line workers made shirts that said IMPORTED FROM BRAMPTON.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:13 |

It's not *gasp* really Imported From Detroit, then?
Anyway, my project car is proudly Made In The USA*
*By me**
**Of domestic and Japanese, GB, Chinese, other parts***
***Some of which started in the US first... look, it's complicated, ok?
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:13 |

Yeah but where do the actors on those american shows come from, that's right Canada.....
so much canadian actors on american tv.

Canada has a lower corporate tax rate than the US
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:15 |

It's taxes, not labor I believe

Yeah, they have to find work somewhere.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:18 |

can't it just be because we are better at doing things than the americans.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:19 |

The 200 was the "imported from Detroit" car, not the LX cars
Edit: quieted
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:20 |

Quiet, you! Can't you see I'm trolling?
If they're going to use such a ridiculous tagline for any model, they will get abuse from me in general.
![]() 02/12/2015 at 16:25 |

If that was the case, you'd be better at making TV shows.

That campaign was no doubt quite offensive to any of Chrysler's employees that didn't work at either Connor Avenue or Jefferson North, which is to say, most of them.

Not building your own things but paying others so you can say you did is very American.

Hate the actions taken by people within the Union, not the entire idea of Unions themselves.

well lots of canadian shows air in the states, and lots of american movies are made in canada.
the only reason that canadian actors are in american shows is money.
so in a way we are better at making TV shows.
we can go on forever on this, I give up after this post

well lots of canadian shows air in the states
Degrassi's no longer in production
lots of american movies are made in canada.
I have also filmed in my backyard
the only reason that canadian actors are in american shows is money.
Well yeah, more successful productions make more money.
we can go on forever on this, I give up after this post
A bit like Canadian independence from the UK after 1982.

For a very long time Jeeps, perhaps the most American of all vehicles, were built in Brampton, Ontario.

I have a 2010 Charger. Its Grey. Or greeny grey. Or what ever. Boring as fuck. at least it has black stickers on it ;) With the snows and the steelies everyone thinks its a low vis cruiser. Did Stratford to Elkhart in record time. In a snowstorm. I think everyone saw the Canadian plates and figured I knew what I was doing in the snow so they got out of my way. Meanwhile I spent the whole trip going "ohmygodimgoingtodie!!!ohmygod, ohmygod.."
Saw a Charger in a Bright almost Swedish Racing Blue. It looked awesome. So much want.
