Heavy snow, wind chills predicted to hit -15°F, and winds steady at 25mph, gusts up to 45. No New England for sure, but ain't gonna be pretty.

Well, if you do, do it off the engine of a running Countach, for badass points.
Seriously though, that blows. I'm over winter already, and y'all have it worse.

haha I havent touched the stuff in 12 years. I can find other ways to make myself want to blabber all night and feel like I ran a concrete saw with no mask on the next morning :)

Glad you haven't done it in so long. It can mess people up. I know too well.
My second cousin by blood is (was) John C. Holmes. He died a year before I was born, but I've heard the stories. I mean, you can't get much worse than that guy.
Worst I've done is cigarettes, alcohol, and I did pot a couple times in college, but haven't done that in 5 years. The cigarette habit is the hardest to break.

i'm pretty much ready to cry and home the stream of tears washed away the snow in my driveway. With my luck it will just freeze over, i'll fall and break my tailbone. This winter has been rough.

yeah I quit smoking mostly (still vape and a few butts here and there) this past year. Booze - well that isnt going away any time soon, but mostly drink shit beer that doesnt affect me. Still smoke a little weed, it is legal in my city. I have done just about every drug under the sun that doesn't require a needle. Those things scare the shit out of me. But haven't really done much but the weed, beer, and butts for all of those 12 years. I left Denver and left it all behind.
And yeah it really can mess you up. I have some friends dealing with it right now. One I have respect for, the other is doing it wrong, and I am not sure our friendship can survive it

I've tried vaping, but it didn't work for me. No problem with weed, in my eyes, as it's not really as unsafe as a lot of people make it out to be. It just made me laugh a whole lot like an idiot. I drink less now than I did before I turned 21. I'll have maybe two drinking occasions per year, and I haven't gotten truly lit in several years. I love my whiskey though, but it just doesn't love me.
I think my "wild" days are long over. I hope your friends kick the habit, and stay off of it. Hopefully the one who is doing it wrong, learns to do it right, and becomes a better person. If your friendship doesn't survive man, that sucks, but it's one of the consequences of being involved with that stuff. I don't know their circumstances, or their lives, nor will I judge them, but I will say, that you do not need drugs to be happy. They will screw you up.
Just within the past few months, there have been heroin deaths, two mobile meth lab busts, and coke busts. A few years ago, there were 7 heroin overdose deaths within a one-week period. I know it may not seem like a lot, but this is in a city of 20,000 people, so something like that is a big deal. I just wish the government and police wouldn't waste their resources for the non-violent marijuana busts. If it's truly non-violent, these people are not hurting anybody, and they're just taking up space in one of the prisons in the area, which could be used for the rapists, child beaters and molesters, and woman beaters, of which we have many of as well. But, I'm ranting now.

nah it isnt just you, that stuff happens everywhere. Weed in maine has always been kind of a "meh" offense, for the past few years it was an infraction to possess anyhow. Yeah I used to be a wild man, it is just easier to get to work not hungover or what have you.
