The 2016 Honda Pilot
The designer must've been smoking something... Probably not something good.

It look likes an inflated pufferfish.

The Odyssey still has it beat for legroom for all seats.

Damn. you're right.

Fuck, now all the SUVs are becoming crossovers.
R.I.P. Pathfinder.

Reminds me of the Chevrolet Uplander.
That's not a good thing.

It's the natural evolution

The proportions are all wrong.

Looks like the MDX and CRV had a kid who grew to be bigger than both of them. Which in this case is not a good thing.

The Pilot is their SUV, the Oddessy is the minivan.
That access blows, though.

aaaaaand honda's downward spiral of vehicle design continues. Kudos, Honda. The best-looking thing in your lineup (nsx) is a decade old. Bravo.
Seriously, this looks like a mutated hybrid of a cr-v and odyssey and not in a good way. Had you said it was an AWD odyssey geared for rural consumers, I'd have believed that. Though, as BaconSandwich noted, gm already tried that with the devastatingly horrid uplander/montana sv6/terrazo/relay quadruplets. Ugh.

These headlights...
I actually don't mind them. They look interesting and unique.

Equal parts Chevy Traverse, CR-V, and last-gen Odyssey.
Blech. What happened to the good boxy square looks of the last gen?

Overall, the design itself is not horrible, as it takes the some of the design cues from CR-V and just inflates them 20%. If anything, it is very similar to the 1st Gen Buick Enclave, especially at the rear window. It is non-offensive, and should appeal to the mass of buyers looking to haul kids & spouses in comfort, and the ability to shove in a bunch of hockey equipment and groceries as well. It looks like Honda has moved the gear shift lever to the consul, but instead of a rotary dial like Chrysler, its now buttons (?). I'm not sure how well that will play to the soccer moms of the world. Still, they will sell a ton of them.

Looks like a new Durango will be replacing my '04 Pilot.
Screw you, Honda. Your new Pilot sucks.

Maybe it's the angle they took the pic that made the access and rear legroom look so bad. But compared to the current boxy style it appears to have shrunk.

Shame, looks stupid heavy and bloated. My 07 pilot was actually a fun ride and confidence inspiring, hell I even raced a f430 with it up a mountain.

Looks like the Acura SUV that I don't care about fucked a CRV.

Looks like the bastardized child of a Camry and Q7

The Pilot was always a crossover.

The Pilot was full SUV.

No, it was never a fullsize SUV. It was and is a midsize crossover based on the Odyssey.
It never competed with the Tahoe or Sequoia. It competed with the Highlander.
A fullsize SUV is at least 200" long, body on frame. And has a proper V8 :D
