I get the faculty thing. That's stupid.
How is this destruction of property though?
Did he damage the snow?!

Destruction of property? They must be really protective of their snow.

Destruction of property ticket? What?

Apparently, he damaged the grass. The parking enforcement people here are dicks.

I once got suspended for vandalism after drawing with sidewalk chalk. (which the art club did every damn week)
Schools pick favorites. He wasn't one of them.

How did he damage the grass? Are the parking enforcement officers dicks?

You know what? Some say he did... And many may consider those in parking enforcement dicks.

wtf is wrong with people these days.
You go ahead and right that ticket, I'll see you the fuck in court.

Wow.
What is wrong with people?
Suspended for vandalism for drawing with chalk? Was it profane?
I think i'd kick in the superintendent's office door to get that removed from record, you have to declare any suspensions on college apps, that could affect the future.

Are they real cops or just rent-a-cops? If rent-a-cops I'd tell them to go pound sand.

Wow. No fucks are given if you do that at LTU. All the Wranglers park like that.

Haha, it's not just these days...been that way for a long while (if not forever).
Middle School, 1994 or so, and there was this 'activity day' thing coming up. Everyone had to be in an event. My friend and I were selected for an egg toss (start standing a foot apart toss the egg take a step back, whoever is furthest apart when their egg breaks wins). We decide to practice the egg toss during recess. We're way back in the corner of the grounds just tossing along. Crazy volunteer recess monitor comes up and makes us stop. We stop, no argument, nothing. Get called into the office during the next period and are suspended for a week for 'endangering students'. Keep in mind that there was a full contact football game going on elsewhere along with people playing baseball with hard bats/balls but those were somehow less dangerous. We also had an archery club...
So bizzare. Anyway, a couple weeks later we do the 'sanctioned' egg toss in the same portion of the field and no one gets suspended. People are weird.

yo dude, like I said in another post, i'd be kicking in the superintendent's office door, i'd be posted up in the school board meetings. It hurts college apps to have those suspensions on their.

Haha, I've heard that, but I'm not really sure if it's true or just a thing told to good kids to keep them in check. I had 4 suspensions and pretty much every friend I had had one with one dude having like 20 or something. Didn't seem to have any appreciable effect on admissions or scholarships. Other than checking a box on the application and writing a little one paragraph statement of what happened it just seemed to disappear into the ether. I only remember being asked about it once at an admissions interview (University of Pittsburgh) and the prof just chuckled as I walked through all the stupidity (mostly mine, other times the school's).
If it does have an effect it's way down the list below GPA, test scores, AP classes, disadvantaged status (race, income, disability), legacy status, extracurriculars, etc.

Its just Campus parking enforcement. I'm not really sure where the limits of their power are. It couldn't possibly be much.

Lol, I'd tell them to go fuck themselves and try not fail at the police academy entrance exam again.

The head of my department in college used to park his Toyota pickup like this all the time.

Not profane at all. But it was "sexual..." Because I drew a rainbow flag with a peace sign, and as it turns out we desperately needed more stuff like that. There's still no official GSA because the school always finds a way around recognizing it, even if it has a teacher sponsor. What's worse is they haven't done anything truly illegal; apparently, schools in Georgia are allowed to literally support the hate and bullying of their own students and even to contribute.
Luckily, I did still get accepted into college, although it was only my fallback school... I still wonder if I could have gone somewhere better had I kept my clean record. (I never got a single detention or even a tardy. Didn't break a single rule ever.)
EDIT: Oh, and it wasn't a small detention. It was two fucking months and I had to go to the school they have set up for expelled students and parolees. It had metal detectors and we had to take off our shoes before entering. That alone should explain how terrifying the place was.
By the way, someone with authorship should cross-post this to Roy G Biv and/or Groupthink. I posted about it before, but I doubt I'll be able to dig up the older post.

That's messed up on a whole pile of levels.
If it was so offensive, make you clean it up after school and carry on with your lives (WHICH IT WAS NOT OFFENSIVE IN ANY WAY).
Man, I hope your school is out of Georgia. It sounds like you need go North to be "FREE AT LAST"

Nope, it's Georgia Southern. I was hesitant to go somewhere with Southern in the name, but it's actually a really nice place. Of course, I'm taking an indefinite break and I doubt I'll ever finish. That's not related, though. (At least I don't think so.... The whole ordeal may have done some serious psychological damage, but I haven't been diagnosed with any new disorders since then so who knows.)
But yeah, everywhere else I applied to was in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and California. I really hate it here.

I know Michigan State had a very welcoming community, it's where I graduated from.
I hope you finish, it's a great accomplishment that no one can take away from you!

I hope so, too! I'm really eager to get back out there, but there's stuff in the way that I'd rather not talk about right now.
