1. ALWAYS USE THE RED KEY.

2. Configure the shift lights.

3. Get better tires, and don't race on the stock ones if you did burnouts with them.

4-7. Don't race against anything fast that has AWD, a retractable spoiler, a PHEV/full-EV drivetrain, any combination of the three, or that is a jet plane.

Found this on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I do agree that, if you're gonna buy and then race a Hellcat, it's best to learn how to use the technology to your advantage since you'd be dealing with 707 HP.

No Retractable Spoilers:

So last generation TTs with tiny engines but retractable spoilers bring fear to the hearts of Hellcat owners.

This is so wussy.

The Hellcat wasn't built to be the fastest thing, it was built to be the loudest, most obnoxious, most American muscle car a still reasonable amount of money can buy today. It's not built to compete because it's in a league of it's own.

Race the electric cars, race the "cars with retractable spoilers," and you sure as hell better race things with AWD systems. Why? Because you're having fun, and you're showing them that you don't need a wallet quite so fat to have the same, if not more fun.

Also, if you're letting your wife/girlfriend/SO drive the Hellcat, they should be a good competent driver, handing them the red key should not be an issue. If you can't trust them, enroll them into a driver training course for racing, and get them to learn. If you're buying a Hellcat, even you should be taking those courses anyway.

I'm sick of people who are all talk and no show about their cars.

The number one thing on this list should be a few track days with an instructor, second being a few more track days with an instructor, finally being going to the track on a regular basis.

It's a Hell cat not a Pussy cat.

8) don't talk about the drag races you "almost won". Only those that you won are worthy of discussion.

Agreed - you should race it for fun if not for a win, and you should definitely know how to race it. Since the Hellcats are SRT products, you'd have the cost of an SRT Track Experience rolled into the purchase price IIRC.

I thought that was a bit silly, too, at least as far as the pics he used - cars like a Veyron Lambo are flashy enough to put folks on notice without deploying a retractable spoiler. There are relatively nondescript fast cars with retractable spoilers that a Hellcat owner might need to watch out for, like the Panamera Turbo S (0-60 MPH in 3.6 s), but a regular TT or Boxster isn't worth any worry in a drag race.
