Kinja'd!!!

The EX35, I'm asking because a friend is considering a low mileage 2008 one over a 4 year old Freelander 2/XC60/BMW X1.

I like infinitys. styling isnt for everyone, but they are very comfy and relativly well built cars.

I'd rather have the Volvo, but the Infiniti is likely the most reliable of the bunch. The Freelander will only lead to heartbreak.

Most of the ones I've seen on the road have modified exhaust and they sounds pretty good. They also don't look too bad either.

I think they're ugly, but that's the only bad thing I can say about them. They're super reliable in my experience.

The Volvo is probably a better car and as there is no official Infiniti representative in Brazil it is also easier to maintain (I think). But for some reason I find the Volvo a bit boring.

I quite like them, that 3.5 V6 has a lovely sound to it.

I think it looks good with the larger wheels, but I see where you are coming from. What is your experience with them?

I fully agree.

I worked at Infiniti for 6 months. I put one steering rack in for a very minor leak, some belt tensioners/belts, and serviced them.

I love the way FX's look, but EX's look neutered to me.

Wonder if a Nissan dealer could work on it? And boring? I agree, but it's probably a very solid choice.

I like the Infinity. It is probably the most reliable car of the selection.

I don't think so, and if they did costs would be astronomical, there is no V6 engined car for sale here so I doubt they are prepared to service one.

And the older FX's were as reliable as the newer Infinities?

Not quite, but really close.

Sounds like the choice is made for him - if he can get the Volvo worked on, that's the one.

But there are many mechanics that will work on them, my mom had a FX for a short period of time and she never had problems in getting it service but costs were higher when compared to the other CUV things.

I like them a lot, as they're like a mini FX. Would definitely buy over over an X1 if it was available with a manuel.
