May have gotten a job I applied for a year ago.
back story: about this time last year, I applied to become a motorcycle teacher in toronto. unfortunately, their teacher training was timed wrong and I could do it during my break. is I missed that opportunity.
Today I get a call from the CEO of that company today. he was scouting for more teachers, and was wondering if I still wanted to do it. And this time, the training starts right when I get home on the 14th.
so uh. yea. I might have gotten a job for the summer without even trying. WOOT. (this is going to be on top of the 9-5 engineering job i'm taking)
not going to lie, kinda excited for this.

neat!
I once got a call back 3 years after I applied for a job at a music store. The guy was really confused as to why I didn't know anything about what he was talking about and got angry at me when I told him I wasn't interested anymore.

That's awesome dude, congratz!
From your posts, you seem like a genuine and level headed dude who wants to inform people properly and that sounds like a great mix for an instructor.
You should mention somehow, how you've been writing tutorials online for novices or people interested in getting into bikes. Maybe they could republish/repurpose them and who knows, could lead to bigger and better things.

yeah, it was pretty strange. Where I live you've gotta keep resumes for 12 months, so I suppose somehow mine got thrown in with the fresh ones.
Still, the cover letter and no job history later than 2009 should have been a giveaway.

so, uh, that's great. Now I just need to go and clean up after seeing that photo. Shouldn't pron have a warning on this site. I mean that bike is fairly nekkid.
Seriously though, that is really cool.

I just got a call back on a perm job that I was interested in 14 months ago. I do consulting and it has been good, last year I had income every week. But man I still remember 2012 and take a 2 month hit so if I see something that either sparks my curiosity or is a company I have been aiming to work at I apply. After 14 months a company called me back and said that the job opening was now getting filled and that I am a top candidate for it. The director seems like a nice guy and I know one guy on the team there so I am happy it is moving forward. Pay is equal to what I drew in last year so not like I take a hit and I get PAID vacation days, WOO!

New or used?
I've lusted after the Triples since they came out, but I'm afraid the Egli Vincent I saw on Sunday has become the one I want. That bike is perfect.

lol. we must keep both wheels on the ground at all times.
sides, can CNR125s do wheelies without a huge gear in the back?

I bet if you popped the clutch in 2nd gear going about 15-20 you could do it. Not something new riders should be trying though.
