My Dad's 91 Ranger 2.3l 4x2 that was supposed to be my first vehicle had this exact same Decal, and it was black. I wonder if it was an OEM option? like an early versio of the Spalsh package.

Edit: the closest thing I could find was the 1991 Ranger Sport package which included the blacked out front enda and decal package. the only picks I could find showed it in a much uglier lime green, and blue.

Looks OEM to me, and I'm sure I've seen those before.

I seriously got excited for a minute. I've always said if I could buy that truck back I would. It was so cool, but we sold it to pay for a father/son trip to Maine. I hope his isn't as rusty as this one tho, in 07 when we sold it it was totally rust free.

I believe that was part of the Sport package for 1991. For a while, Ford would change the decal of the Sport package every year.

My first car was this truck, but an extended cab. Yes, it can from the factory with the squiggles on it. No, I did not have them removed.

Ford loved graphics didn't they. My friend's F-250 has these:
Partially removed though.
