A fellow Opponaut (sir Van Man, drives the Man Van) told me to make a meme about the Renegade wanting to grow up. So here it is.
And yes, I am aware the Renegade is a real Jeep.

Jeep Commendatore

Disclaimer: I would’ve made it myself, but my internet decided not to cooperate and be slow so I couldn’t.
Edit: I made one:

Not enough flex.
I love the Renegade, though. I would seriously consider getting one IF:
They made the Trailhawk with the top engine available with manual. It would still be a compromise vehicle for me, but manual would tick enough boxes the way the V8 ticked the last needed box on my current ride.

It’s be cool if the made a Willys edition, like the Willys Wrangler, with all the Trailhawk off roading goodies, but a pretty much base model interior.

It's more a Jeep than the Liberty. #YOLO (You Offroad a Liberty Once)

The renegade is the first Jeep I’ve ever wanted.

Though I'd never buy one I really like the renegade it's so cute and adorable

keep the left burn the right
(from my perspective, not theirs)

At this point I’m wondering why people would get something other than the Trailhawk. The regular Renegade just looks like it’s missing something.

It is. Many offroady bits.

More so than its Fiat cousin for sure.

Very appropriate.

Daystar makes a 1.5” lift kit for the regular Renegade. Just buy the skid plates from Mopar, throw on some better tires and tow hooks, and you’re set.

Lol I was in on this too. I supported the idea.

No, no it’s not. Sure, the Liberty wasn’t as good as the Cherokee it replaced, but it’s still way more capable and real-jeep like than a Renegade.

They used to be real Jeeps

I kinda want to put it on a Suzuki samurai chassis.

What do you mean “kinda”? You mean 100% want.
![]() 12/29/2015 at 20:56 |

It’s only kinda because I really like the way the Samurai looks.

I have a picture somewhere of a stock - off-the - lot Liberty stuck in two inches of snow on a flat road.

And that makes it less of a Jeep than a Renegade? 2wd and shit tires? Pretty sure the Renegade is also available with those, and the Wrangler for that matter. I would have agreed if you said Compass, maybe KL Cherokee, but the Liberty is the closest to a real Jeep out of all of them.

Well, we all know the Compass sucks. However, all your Liberty pictures are for modified ones. This is a stock KL.

Well, yes they’re modified, that’s one of the things that makes a Jeep, lifting it and big tires. That they can be modified relatively easily. I didn’t know you were looking for stock liberty pictures.
