Oppo AMG GT Goes to Italy: Dismal Days 3 & 4

Oppo AMG GT has visited Venezia! A “romantic” city! With no cars...

At first, I was infuriated with this fact, because I like cars. You guys know that.

There are boats, though. Many boats. Boat taxis, boat buses boat ambulances, police boats, fire “truck” boats, and street racing boats. Fun.

But after a bit of time (an hour), I started to appreciate the “car-less” city. For example, I didn’t concentrate on the cars on the roads... I just looked at landmarks and stuff.

And boats. There were many boats. It’s a boat-lovers’ paradise!!!

But anyway... food was good, landscapes beautiful and yet all the same. A different lifestyle, one that would no doubt take quite a bit of getting used to. All in all enjoyable.

So, since I spent too much time concentrating on the city, I took only two photos. They are attached below.

The top was on top of a bridge, the bottom in my hotel bathroom because I spilled apple juice all over Oppo AMG GT. I got that cleaned up promptly.

Basically, today’s post: more writing and fewer photos.

I started out hating Venice (so many crowds, tourists, loud hawking, hard to navigate) and I ended up in love with it big time.

Make sure to drop by one of the shops that works on the boats, and opt for Burano over Murano when the choice comes. It’s a much better day trip, with lower prices and less commercialism.

I overslept and my plans to Burano and Murano were missed. However, I did go to Murano for about thirty minutes with the intent of visiting the glass museum, but everything was closed. I also visited it for its namesake:
